Police: Suspect Stole Military Donation Jar From Chaska Gas Station

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Chaska Police Department is looking for a suspect after a man stole a donation jar meant for military families from a gas station.

Authorities say the incident happened at about midnight on June 2 at the Super America gas station at the intersection of Highway 41 and Hundertmark Road. Police say a white male suspect entered the store and took the jar, which was being used to collect money for Minnesota military families.

Police say before the suspect entered the gas station, he asked another customer for money, saying he needed gas so he could drive back to Richfield. The suspect was driving a late 1990s or early 200 Buick four-door vehicle, gold in color. One of the rear tires on the car was a spare.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or has information about the incident is asked to call Chaska police at (952) 448-4200.
