Charges: Drunk Man Steals Cheese From Ex's Fridge

LINO LAKES, Minn. (WCCO) -- A Forest Lake, Minn. man has been charged with three criminal counts after he allegedly broke into his ex-wife's house and stole cheese from her refrigerator.

The criminal complaint says police in Lino Lakes responded to a call very early the morning of March 28. A resident said that her ex-husband had come in through the back of the house and was caught taking food from the fridge.

She told police her daughter pushed him out of the house.

Police found Leonard Leigh Houle, 56, hiding out in a neighbor's garage. He was observed with bloodshot eyes and smelled strongly of alcohol. He was holding a block of Kraft cheese.

He was taken into custody and given a breath test after admitting he had been drinking and driving. The test showed him with blood alcohol levels of 0.11.

He has been charged with first-degree burglary, and was also charged with two DWI counts.
