Charges Dropped Against Timberwolves' Dante Cunningham

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- All charges against the Timberwolves' Dante Cunningham have been dropped by the Hennepin County Attorney's Office.

The county attorney confirmed they were dropping charges against the free agent. He had been charged earlier this year with felony domestic assault for allegedly choking his girlfriend in his suburban Minneapolis home.

Last April, he was released from jail, played in a game against Orlando and was then arrested again -- for a second time in three days -- following allegations that he sent threatening text messages to the woman.

Cunningham became an unrestricted free agent last month after completing the final year of his contract that pays him $2.1 million this season.
