CAIR Hosts Challenging Islamophobia Event In St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Activists met Saturday to inspire others to fight bigotry.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations hosted an event in St. Paul to challenge Islamophobia. It's the country's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization.

Organizers told us they've taken more reports of harassment recently.

Saturday's event also served as the kick-off of the group's new campaign. Organizers say they want to activate 10,000 Minnesotans in the fight against bigotry and hatred.
