CEO Of Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Discusses New Book

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – If you've seen "Forest Gump," you know Bubba explains the dozens of ways to prepare shrimp.

And his love for shrimp extends beyond the movie screen.

Following the blockbuster movie, Bubba Gump Restaurants popped up across the country, including one at Mall of America.

Now, the company's founding CEO, Scott Barnett has written a new book about turning an idea from a movie into a real-life, successful restaurant.

Barnett will discuss the book, entitled "Gumption," at Magers and Quinn Books in Uptown at 7 p.m. Thursday evening.
