Celebration After Renovation Of 86-Year-Old Red River Bridge

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota and Minnesota officials are celebrating the completion of a renovation project on a Red River bridge.

The Sorlie Memorial Bridge spans the river between Grand Forks and East Grand Forks. The 283-foot-long bridge was built in 1929.

The rehabilitation project began in June. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was scheduled Thursday afternoon.
