Carver Co. Officials Looking For Hotel Robbers

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in the south metro are looking for two men who allegedly robbed a Chanhassen hotel last week at gunpoint.

The robbery happened in the early morning hours of July 3 at the Chanhassen Inn, located on the 500 block of West 79th Street, the Carver County Sheriff's Office said.

The two men walked into the hotel, spoke with a clerk and then brandished a handgun. They demanded cash and fled, police said.

The clerk was not harmed.

Officials described both suspects as men in their early 20s. One stands about 6-feet, 2-inches tall, has a slender build, and a small patch of black facial hair beneath his chin. He was wearing a black or blue Twins baseball hat, a black zip-up Nike windbreaker, jean shorts and black high-top shoes.

The other man is described as "looking really dirty," standing about 5-feet, 5-inches tall, having a buzzed haircut and a thin build. He was wearing a blue pull-over hoodie with a front pouch pocket and faded dark jeans that were ragged on the bottom.

If you have any information on the suspects, call the Carver County Sheriff's Office at 952-361-1212.
