Caribou Coffee Stays Up All Night To Showcase New Drink

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It's called "Crafted Press" and it's the newest drink to invade Caribou Coffee this spring.

The Minnesota company's new Crafted Press drink takes 12 hours to make.

Caribou started steeping the coffee Sunday night at 4 p.m. to make sure it was ready at 6 a.m. Monday morning. During that same time, chalk artist Max Holmgren of Bear Fox Chalk was working hard designing a beautiful display to showcase the newest cold brew.

"I've been doing chalk art for the last three years and I enjoy teaming up with local businesses like Caribou because we share a lot of the same values," Holmgren said.

To celebrate the launch of the new drink Caribou baristas are giving everyone who walks by Peavey Plaza in Minneapolis a free taste.  The drinks are available from 6 to 10 a.m. at Peavey Plaza, located at 11th Street and Nicollet Mall just across the street from WCCO.

The drink is not as caloric as their "Caribou Cooler" drinks, but has the same great taste. The ingredients included in Caribou's new brew are cold press coffee, a little bit of cream/milk, some sugar and a few ice cubes.
