Car Hits Tree In St. Louis County, 1 Killed

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A woman died after hitting a tree on Highway 47 in Alborn just before 5 p.m. Saturday, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office said. The 61-year-old driver from Culver skidded off the road and into the opposite lane in the 6500 block of the highway. She died at the scene.

The office said alcohol and speed are believed to be factors.
