Capitol Restoration Group Asks Public For Art Input
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota may be "the land of 10,000 lakes," but there are no pictures of lakes in our State Capitol building.
In fact, some people may consider some of the art that is there to be offensive. Most of the art commemorates the Civil War and Minnesota before 1905.
The group that is overseeing the Capitol restoration is looking for public input on what artwork should be displayed.
The art committee is holding another public meeting Tuesday night at Hamline University's Anderson Center from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
