Campus Police Say Dorm Assault Wasn't Stranger Attack

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — University of Minnesota police say they're no longer investigating the sexual assault of a female student in a dorm as an attack by strangers.

The woman told police Sunday she didn't know her attackers. She reported two men armed with knives accosted her over the weekend.

University spokesman Steve Henneberry says police have found no ongoing threat to public safety. No arrests have been made.
