Buxton Heads To DL As Twins Reinstate Mauer

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota Twins first baseman Joe Mauer will return to the team for their Saturday game against the AL-best Houston Astros.

The team announced Saturday Mauer has been reinstated from the disabled list. Mauer missed six games with a lower back strain.

To make room for Mauer, the Twins placed outfielder Byron Buxton on the 10-day disabled list with a left groin strain.

The Twins take on the Astros in Houston starting at 6:10 p.m.
