Buses Replace Light Rail Line In Downtown Mpls. This Weekend

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Commuters taking light-rail trains to and from downtown Minneapolis this weekend will be hopping on a bus for a portion of their trip, according to Metro Transit officials.

The Blue Line, formerly called the Hiawatha Line, will undergo scheduled maintenance from Friday at 7:30 p.m. till Monday at 3:30 a.m. between the Target Field and Franklin Avenue stations.

Replacement buses will serve passengers on the route in the meantime. Click here for more information.

The Hiawatha Bike Trail will also be closed this weekend between 11th Avenue South and 15th Avenue South.
