Bus carrying students crashes on Interstate 35 in Forest Lake

MINNEAPOLIS — A school bus carrying fourteen students and three other cars crashed early Sunday morning in the north metro. 

The state patrol says that a 16-year-old student on the bus and the driver of one of the cars suffered minor injuries. The driver of the car was transported to a local hospital. 

The crash happened just after 12:30 a.m. in the area of Interstate 35 and West Broadway Street in Forest Lake.

The crash is under investigation.

The Minnesota State Patrol says that between noon Saturday and 8:30 a.m. Sunday, there were more than 200 crashes.
