Buck Hill's New Owners Have Big Plans For Ski Area

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The owners of Burnsville's Buck Hill say they have sold their ski area -- and the new owners have some big plans for it.
The announcement was made Thursday by Jessica Stone, whose family has been majority owners for more than 60 years.
Don McClure, who has been with Buck Hill for 40 years, will co-own the business with David Solner. McClure was a leader with the design firm Cuningham Group Architecture.
The duo plans to turn Buck Hill into a year-round, world-class sports training facility. They say it will also be a community-based entertainment destination.
