Sheriff: Boy Injured In Brown Co. UTV Accident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A boy is in the hospital after being trapped under a UTV in Brown County Tuesday evening.

According to the Brown County Sheriff's Office, around 5:45 p.m. deputies received a call of a UTV accident on the 28300 block of 120th street in Mulligan Township. Officers were told an 8-year-old boy was trapped under a UTV and was having troubles breathing.

Upon arrival, the boy was breathing on his own and no longer trapped under the vehicle. He was provided with medical assistance, and later airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center.

His condition is unknown.

Further investigation found a 10-year-old boy had been driving the UTV when the accident occurred.

His was not injured.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
