Boy, 17, in critical condition after shooting in Brooklyn Park; police searching for suspects

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition and police are searching for several suspects after a shooting in Brooklyn Park Sunday night.

Officers responded to the 6500 block of 84th Court North around 6:15 p.m. for the report of a shooting. 

Police found the boy, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, He was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition Monday morning. 

Investigators say the boy and several others had arranged a marijuana sale through Snapchat. During the transaction, several people allegedly shot the boy and ran away.

According to the Brooklyn Park Police Department, officers extensively searched the area for the suspects with assistance from the Crystal Police Department and Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, but none were found.
