Pedestrian In Brooklyn Park Hit-And-Run Dies

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A pedestrian who was hospitalized following a hit-and-run in Brooklyn Park on Nov. 8 has died.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, 23-year-old Seth Garrett Bennett, of Brooklyn Park, died on Thursday from blunt force injuries.

Brooklyn Park police said Bennett was hit around 11 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 81 and 71st Avenue on Election Day. A car ran a red light, hit Bennett and fled the scene, traveling south on County Road 81.

Bennett was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police are still searching for a suspect. They said they are looking for a dark colored sedan, which could have damage to the front end.
