Fire Damages Brooklyn Park Home

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (WCCO) -- Firefighters responded to a Brooklyn Park home after it went up in flames early Sunday morning.

Fire officials responded to a report of a fire on 77th Avenue North Sunday morning. When crews arrived, they were greeted by heavy smoke and the three residents who had safely escaped the home.

Fire crews spent about three hours fighting the flames.

No one was injured and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Red Cross says it's helping two families displaced as a result of the fire.
