Thousands Walk For Breast Cancer Research At U.S. Bank Stadium

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Thousands of people descended upon downtown Minneapolis to raise awareness and money for Breast Cancer.

Saturday was the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" walk at U.S. Bank Stadium. Volunteers, supporters and breast cancer survivors walked in and around the stadium to raise money for research.

According to the American Cancer Society, an estimated 246,000 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. Since death rates started dropping in 1990, more than 249,000 breast cancer deaths have been prevented.
