'Breaking Bad' Star RJ Mitte Attends Walk For Love In Loring Park

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A special event held Saturday morning helped benefit Shriners Hospital for Children in the Twin Cities.

It was the Walk for Love and Family Festival at Loring Park.

Teams and individuals raised money leading up to Saturday morning's event to benefit the patients of Shriners hospitals.

Along with the walk, there were food vendors and other activities, such as face painting and inflatable toys for kids to play in.

Actor RJ Mitte from "Breaking Bad" was also on hand to share his story of how Shriners helped him with his cerebral palsy treatment.

"They do so much amazing work, not just for disabilities but for burns and a spectrum of disabilities. And it's always such an amazing honor to be able to come out and be a part of these events. And to be able to show my support," Mitte said.

At this point, about $56,000 dollars has been raised for Shriners.
