Body Found In Lake Believed To Be Missing Brainerd Man

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police believe the body recovered from a Brainerd lake Saturday morning is that of a missing vulnerable adult.

Brandon Rich, 23, was last seen Wednesday night. Investigators believed he may have left his home to go to downtown Brainerd.

Around 10 a.m. Saturday, police recovered a body from Boom Lake in Brainerd. The body was completely submerged about 100 feet from shore, according to police. The lake is located just four blocks from Rich's home.

Police were called to the lake after wet clothing was found near a park building. The clothing was later identified as Rich's.

The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information should contact the Brainerd Police Department at 218-829-2805.
