Police: Brainerd Man In Custody After Stabbing At Bar

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Brainerd man is in custody after he reportedly stabbed another man at a bar Friday night, according to the Brainerd Police Department.

Troy Stalboerger, 44, was arrested Friday night and is being held in the Crow Wing County Jail.

Officers responded to a call at the Iron Rail Saloon around 10:45 p.m. Friday. They found a 24-year-old Brainerd man outside the bar with one serious puncture wound in his abdomen. He was bleeding significantly, according to police.

The man was transported to a hospital and is in critical condition, police said.

Witnesses reported seeing Stalboerger flee from the area. He was arrested shortly after the incident.

Police are still investigating. They do not believe Stalboerger and the man knew each other prior to the incident.
