Crime Alert Issued For Wis. Woman Gone Missing In Minnesota

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin authorities have issued a statewide crime alert for a Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin woman who went missing in Minnesota in June.

The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram reports 23-year-old Shannah Boiteau was last seen June 22 when she ran away from a vehicle her boyfriend was driving in St. Cloud.

The St. Cloud Times reported June 30 that a witness saw a distraught woman in a bikini top who matched Boiteau's description enter the woods near an intersection. The witness said a maroon Prius had been following her before she went into the woods.

Police say they don't have any leads. Boiteau has been on probation since pleading no contest to a felony charge of maintaining a drug trafficking place in December 2014.
