Body recovered from Richfield's Wood Lake, police say

Police in Richfield, Minnesota, said a woman's body was recovered on Saturday morning from Wood Lake.

Someone spotted the body floating on the lake, located south of West 66th Street and west of Lyndale Avenue South, just before 10 a.m.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office is working to determine the woman's identity and exact cause of death.

Authorities had previously said it was a man's body.

Police said the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation.
