Body Of Missing St. Anthony Man Found In Roseville

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A missing St. Anthony man was found dead inside of a vehicle late Thursday morning.

According to St. Anthony Police, the body of 56-year-old Todd Hoffstrom was found on the 2700 block of Fairview Avenue North in Roseville.

A citizen reported a suspicious vehicle to police just before 11 a.m. Officers arrived shortly after and found Hoffstrom inside. Police say the cause of death appears to be suicide.

Hoffstrom was first reported missing on Sept. 29. His family said he had struggled with depression, which worsened after the shooting death of his son, Ted Hoffstrom, by Orono Police last October.

Ted Hoffstrom fatally shot the doctor who delivered him right before he was killed by officers. It is believed Hoffstrom blamed Dr. Stephen Larson for mental and physical aliments due to his difficult delivery.

Roseville Police and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating.
