Body Of Missing Foley Man Found, Cause Of Death Yet Unknown

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in central Minnesota say the body of a man reported missing in December has been found.

The Midwest Medical Examiner's office reported Wednesday that a body found east of St. Cloud just a day prior was that of 31-year-old Jamie Wylie, of Foley, Minn., the Benton County Sheriff's office said.

The cause and manner of Wylie's death are still pending final autopsy results.

Officers found Wylie when responding to a report of a dead body Tuesday afternoon. Sheriff's deputies found Wylie's body on the side of County Road 75 between Mayhew Lake Road and East Germain Street.

Nothing at the scene indicated the public was in any immediate danger, the sheriff's office said.

In December, Wylie's wife and friends said he was last seen leaving a friend's home in St. Cloud.

His death remains under investigation.
