Body Of Man Pulled From Little Detroit Lake In NW Minnesota

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (AP/WCCO) — Authorities say a body has been pulled from Little Detroit Lake in northwestern Minnesota after a local pilot and a police investigator spotted it from a plane.

Becker County Sheriff Todd Glander says the body of 33-year-old Markus Bruce Fales, of Detroit Lakes, was discovered about 200 yards from shore in six feet of water late Friday afternoon.

Glander says Fales had been missing for almost a week.

He says there's no evidence of a crime associated with the death, but Fales' body was sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner in St. Paul.
