Body Of 2nd Missing Boater Recovered From Lake Of The Woods

BAUDETTE, Minn. (AP) — Law enforcement officers have recovered the body of a second boater missing for the past week on Lake of the Woods in northern Minnesota.

The Lake of the Woods County Sheriff's Department says the body of 24-year-old Cody Ostendorf was discovered by a resident of Flag Island. His body was recovered around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Ostendorf was one of three men missing after their boat apparently capsized on the lake a week ago. The body of Justin Haugtvedt was recovered Friday in about 14 feet of water.

Authorities continued searching Sunday for the remaining missing boater, Keith Ayers.

The three men from Baudette were last seen leaving Sunset Lodge on Oak Island late on Oct. 2. Their 16-foot boat was found capsized near Flag Island the next day.
