Sheriff: Body Pulled From Mississippi River In Washington County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities are investigating after the body of an adult male was pulled from the Mississippi River in St. Paul Park Monday afternoon.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office received a report at about 4:46 p.m. from a boater who located a body in the river. Authorities say the victim was found about 2.5 miles south of Hidden Harbor Marina.

The body is that of an African-American man who is between 20 and 35 years of age. He is about 6-feet-2-inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds. There are no clear signs of trauma on the body.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says it does not have any missing persons matching the description. The man has not been identified, and the incident is under investigation.
