Sheriff: Body Found In Mississippi River

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Wisconsin authorities are investigating after a woman's body was found floating in the Mississippi River.

Just after noon on Tuesday, a fisherman reportedly notified the Pierce County Sheriff's Office of the body, which was floating near mile marker 795 in Trenton Township, Wisconsin.

Authorities recovered the woman, whose identity is unknown at this time.
