Body Found In Debris Of Exploded Home In Northern Minnesota

EVELETH, Minn. (AP) — Crews have found a body in the ruins of a house that exploded on northern Minnesota's Iron Range.

The St. Louis County sheriff's office says authorities used heavy equipment to excavate the site and uncovered the body of an unknown male in the debris. An autopsy is planned.

The explosion happened around 1 a.m. Monday south of Eveleth. A motorist reported debris in the road. The Minnesota State Patrol discovered the debris was from a house that had exploded.

The sheriff's office and the state fire marshal continue to investigate.
