'Blue Light Service' Held At State Capitol Honors Fallen Law Enforcement

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Blue Light service honors police officers who have died in the line of duty.

On Saturday night, services were held at the State Capitol to honor those who died in Minnesota. The program encourages communities to display blue lights during the holiday season in honor of our fallen law enforcement. The color blue is symbolic of peace.

The event is sponsored by a non-profit, which provides resources to assist families who have lost a loved one in the line of duty.
