Blaine Police say it happened at the intersection of 101st Avenue and Xylite Street Northeast. First responders rendered first aid and lifesaving measures to the 30-year-old man, but police say he eventually succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators say a semi-truck was traveling westbound on 101st Avenue in the left turn lane while the motorcycle was headed eastbound and collided with the truck. Investigators don't believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

The Blaine Police Department, Anoka County Sheriff and Minnesota State Patrol are investigating.
