Pedestrian Struck And Killed By Train In Big Lake

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A person is dead after being hit by a train in Big Lake Wednesday evening.

According to the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office, around 6:15 p.m. Big Lake Police officers and Sherburne deputies responded to a call of a collision between a pedestrian and a train on Highway 25.

The Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) rail company said it occurred at the Lake Street Crossing.

The pedestrian was identified as 24-year-old Cody Haberman, of Big Lake.

Big Lake Police responded to the scene, and are still investigating the incident.
