Big Lake Man Pleads Guilty In Child Porn Case

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 44-year-old Big Lake man accused of possessing large amounts of child pornography pleaded guilty in Sherburne County Court on Friday to felony charges.

According to court documents, Peter Michael Guevara pleaded guilty to possessing pornographic work involving minors that was on devices in his home. Guevara had been charged with 17 counts of possessing child porn and pleaded guilty to five counts.

Police said Guevara was a Big Lake resident in June of 2011 when authorities executed a search warrant on his home. That led police to find multiple images and videos of children in nude and sexually suggestive positions and also performing sex acts.

Each charge is punishable by up to five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine. Guevara will be sentenced May 15.
