Bicyclist Killed After Being Struck By Train, Authorities Believe

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A bicyclist is dead after being hit by a train in Fridley.

The Anoka County Sheriff's office says Coon Rapids police found the body around 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Northstar Commuter Rail Station.

Police were able to find the crash site on the tracks south of Osborne Road in Fridley.

Investigators think the person on their bike was hit by a Northstar train in that area.

They have not released the name of the victim.
