Sheriff's Office: Deputy Shoots Suspect After Chase In Western Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A chase in Western Minnesota ended with a deputy shooting the driver.

It happened around 7:30 Thursday night just east of Audubon on Highway 10.

Authorities say the driver got out of the car with a gun. That's when a deputy fired his gun.

The suspect was taken to a hospital in Fargo, but their condition is unknown.

Authorities have not said what led up to the chase. The Minnesota BCA is investigating.
