Police: BCA Shooting In Alexandria Killed A 31-Year-Old Man

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Some details are being released in connection with the death of a man who was shot by Bureau of Criminal Apprehension agents during an undercover investigation.

The St. Paul Police Department says 31-year-old Adam Jo Klimek of Alexandria died Tuesday after he was shot.

Police said on Thursday that BCA agents were in Alexandria working an undercover operation involving the solicitation of minors when they tried to arrest Klimek, and he charged at three agents with a knife.

Two agents — Beth Eilers and Dustin Vanderhagen — shot at Klimek. Police say the agents immediately rendered aid and called paramedics. Klimek died at the scene.

The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office is working to determine the cause of death.

The St. Paul Police Department is investigating at the BCA's request.
