Police Search For Robber Who Hit 2 Metro Banks Within 90 Mins.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Maple Grove Police are working to track down a robber who struck two banks on Tuesday.

The suspect, described as a black man in his 40s or 50s, first robbed a TCF Bank in Burnsville just after 4 p.m.

Then just after 5:30 p.m., he robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Maple Grove. Employees says he entered, presented a note in which he demanded money and then fled on foot east towards Bass Lake Center with an undisclosed amount of money.

He is approximately 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and had facial hair described as a "five o'clock shadow." He wore a light gray hooded sweatshirt with orange and red inside the hood and a dark-colored baseball cap with a "Call of Duty: Ghosts" logo.

Authorities say the suspect didn't use a weapon during the robberies, but should be considered dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call Maple Grove Police or call Minnesota Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS to remain anonymous.
