MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Bayport man suffered life-threatening injuries Friday morning after crashing into a car and then a concrete wall while being pursued by police in North Hudson, Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says 48-year-old John Walter Halfmann did not stop when North Hudson police officers attempted to pull him over on northbound WIS 35 on suspicion of drunk driving just before 11 a.m.

Halfmann then drove into the southbound lane and crashed into an oncoming vehicle before slamming into a concrete wall.
