Several Crews Battle Bayport House Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A large home east of the metro sustained significant damage in an overnight fire.

Firefighters were called to the home in Bayport early Sunday morning on 19th Street. Crews from five departments responded to fight the flames.

Because the home was a mile away from the nearest fire hydrant, water had to be hauled in.

No one was hurt in the fire. The cause is under investigation.
