Banham Earns Big Ten Honor After Setting Scoring Record

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- University of Minnesota senior guard Rachel Banham set a Big Ten single-game record and tied an NCAA record with 60 points in a win at Northwestern Sunday.

Banham was named the Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday. In addition to scoring 60 points in Sunday's 112-106 double overtime win at Northwestern, Banham scored 24 points in Minnesota's win over Rutgers. She was also named ESPNW Player of the Week after averaging 42 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the two victories.

It's Banham's fourth career Player of the Week Award and second this season.
