Ballet Minnesota To Open 'Sleeping Beauty,' 'Ave Maria'

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Founded in 1991, Ballet Minnesota is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching lives.

They hope to create and share the artistry of dance through public presentation and education.

This weekend, the organization is opening their latest show "Sleeping Beauty" at the Minnesota Dance Festival.

Performances will be held at the O'Shaughnessy Theater on the St. Catherine University Campus Friday through Saturday.

Performance times are 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2 and 6 p.m. Saturday, April 23.

The group has also been working on the "Ave Maria" ballet, set to music by G.F. Handel.
