Eagle Rescued By State Trooper Released Back Into Wild

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A bald eagle rescued by a Minnesota state trooper last month was released back into the wild on Friday.

Minnesota trooper Paul Kingery found the injured eagle along the side of the Interstate Highway 494 on March 21. He took the bird to the Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota.

There were no broken bones, but the eagle did have internal injuries. Now that the eagle is fully recovered, it was time to return it to the wild.

Kingery released the eagle near Hastings this afternoon. It took flight without any trouble.
