Backstreet Boys Taking Tour Through St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- Famed boy band Backstreet Boys hope Twin Cities fans won't show them the meaning of being lonely when they swing through St. Paul this summer.

Xcel Energy Center announced the Boys would quit playing games with your heart and bring their "In a World Like This" concert tour to the venue for a Tuesday, June 10 show.

Tickets for those who want it that way will be on sale beginning on Friday, March 21 at 10 a.m.

Avril Lavigne was announced as an opening act for AJ, Brian, Howie, Kevin and Nick.

The Backstreet Boys were, along with 'N Sync, considered the definitive boy band of the Y2K era. Their 1997 self-titled album and their 1999 follow-up "Millennium" were both certified diamond by the RIAA, which means they sold in excess of 10 million copies.
