Report: Bachmann On Trump's Board Of Evangelical Advisers

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Former Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann is on Donald Trump's list of evangelical advisers.

The website Politico reports that Bachmann's name was on a list of a 25-person advisory board released Tuesday by Trump's campaign. Bachman was the only member of Congress, past or present.

Other prominent evangelicals on the list include Jerry Falwell Jr., the president of Liberty University, Ralph Reed, the founder of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, and the televangelists Kenneth and Gloria Copeland.

Those on the advisory board were not asked to endorse Trump, Politico reports. Some of those on the list, such as Focus on the Family founder James Dobson, have even been critical of Trump in recent remarks.

On Tuesday, Trump said he has "tremendous respect" for all on his board, and that he looks forwards to talking about issues important to evangelicals.
