Drowning Victim's Body Located In Dakota County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Officials in Dakota County say they have recovered the body of a drowning victim Tuesday morning.

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded at around 9 p.m. Monday to the Vermillion River access at Etter Bridge in Ravenna Township on a possible drowning.

At around 1:40 a.m., the sheriff's office said the victim's body was located using sonar equipment. The body was recovered by the sheriff's office dive team.

"Our sympathy to the victim's family and all impacted by the incident," the sheriff's office said.
