Authorities: Patrol Chases Boat For 5 Minutes On Lake Minnetonka

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say they chased man on Lake Minnetonka Friday night after trying to stop him for an alleged domestic incident.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says deputies got a report of a domestic incident on a boat just before 9 p.m. A sheriff's water patrol boat then found the suspect, Ryan David Krueger, on Lake Minnetonka and tried to get him to stop his 17-foot runabout. That's when Krueger took off across the lake.

The water patrol boat followed Krueger for about five minutes, until they reached Maxwell's Bay. That's when two additional water patrol boats responded.

Deputies arrested Krueger in Maxwell's Bay. He faces felony charges, officials say.

It should be noted that no-wake restrictions are still in place on Lake Minnetonka.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
