Authorities Identify Man Fatally Struck By Minivan In Eagan

AGAN, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have identified a man who police say was fatally struck by a minivan after running into a road in Eagan.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man Sunday as 27-year-old Theodore Taft of Eagan. The medical examiner's office says Taft died of multiple blunt force injuries.

The Eagan Police Department has said the man was struck Thursday night after he ran into a lane of traffic on Yankee Doodle Road. The minivan's driver swerved but couldn't avoid hitting him.

The medical examiner's office says it is investigating the crash along with Eagan police and the Minnesota State Patrol. Eagan police earlier said that drugs or alcohol didn't appear to be factors.
